World Malayalee Council expands in Canada with inauguration of Brampton Province

THE World Malayalee Council (WMC) America Region is set to welcome a new addition to its global network with the inauguration of WMC Brampton Province in Canada on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The inaugural ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), with Hon. Member of Parliament Ruby Sahota formally inaugurating the new province.

The formation of WMC Brampton Province marks another significant step in the Council's efforts to strengthen its presence among the Malayalee diaspora and expand its organisational network in North America.

The new province is expected to provide a platform for Malayalees in Brampton and neighbouring areas to strengthen community bonds, promote cultural heritage and contribute to the Council's activities and initiatives.

WMC America Region has invited members, well-wishers and the wider Malayalee community to participate in the inaugural function and extend their support to the new province.

The addition of Brampton Province further reinforces the World Malayalee Council's commitment to bringing Malayalees across geographical boundaries under a common global platform.
