Kerala govt to launch citizen response programme for welfare and development feedback

THE Kerala government has launched a citizen response programme called "Mukhyamatri Ennodoppam" (CM With Me) to gather feedback on welfare and development initiatives.
The program is built around a dedicated Citizen Connect Centre to streamline communication and enhance government accountability and transparency.
A comprehensive Citizen Connect Centre, located in the former Air India building in Thiruvananthapuram, acts as the central point for collecting public feedback and complaints.
The public can share suggestions and grievances via a toll-free number, 1800-425-6789.
Complaints reported through the system are promised action within 48 hours. If an immediate resolution isn't possible, the reason will be communicated to the citizen.
The programme has a two-tiered structure for handling public input:
Receiving Layer: A 24/7 call centre handles and records citizen concerns.
Resolution Layer: Representatives from over 25 departments—including local self-government, revenue, and police—collaborate to provide timely resolutions.
The system is designed to serve as a reliable communication channel during emergencies and disaster relief operations.
The programme aims to move citizens beyond being passive beneficiaries of government programs by integrating their suggestions into the planning and evaluation of initiatives.
It will provide streamlined access to other government efforts, such as the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund and previous missions like Nava Kerala Sadas and the File Adalats.
The programme is being implemented by the state's Information and Public Relations Department, with technical and infrastructural support from the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).
Experienced officials, including Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) officers, are being deployed to support the program's functions.
Dedicated funding: The state cabinet has sanctioned an additional ₹20 crore to fund the programme, including content creation and outreach activities.
