WMC leaders meet US senior administrator Fr. Alexander J Kurian

THE World Malayalee Council Executive Committee of Bahrain Province visited Fr. Alexander J Kurian, Executive Director of Senior Executive Services (SES I), and the deputy Associate of Administrator of the US Government, Washington DC, and senior priest of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. 

During the meeting, the WMC Executive Committee discussed various international affairs and their influence among the expatriate Malayalee Community around the globe. He was one of the victims during his official commitment in Baghdad as a US envoy, attacked by the terrorists and escaped severely hurt, while many of his colleagues died. 

Fr. Alexander is a well-known orator and motivational speaker who visited more than 140 countries and still keeps his ties in his motherland Kerala. He started his studies and career just after his schooling at the age of 16 in the US. 

Vicar of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral Fr. Sunil Kurian Baby and WMC Bahrain Province Executive Committee comprising Chairman Devraj Govindan, President Abraham Samuel, General Secretary Amal Dev, Treasurer Harish Nair and Vice Chairman Vinod Narayanan, along with the WMC Global Vice President James John and Middle East Chairman Radhakrishnan Theruvath attended the meeting. 

Fr. Alexander hailed the contribution of the World Malayalee Council, globally and especially in the US and other parts of the world for its cultural, bilateral and humanitarian efforts. 

He also explained his past cooperation with the council in the US and the invitation he received to attend the Global Biennial Conference held in Bahrain in 2022.
