Global Malayalee Festival on Jan 1 & 2 at Crowne Plaza, Kochi, ready to welcome all Malayalees

MALAYALEES are getting ready for the first-ever Global Malayalee Festival, where Malayalees from more than 50 countries are expected to participate. The event is open to all Malayalees, including those from Kerala.  

On January 2, a full-day Trade and Investment meeting will be held, attended by numerous business leaders from the Gulf and start-up IT project leaders. It will be a very beneficial event for those in business. 

In the afternoon, a public session will take place, during which 19 Malayalees from around the world will be recognized with the Malayalee Ratna Award. The day ends with a gala dinner with an orchestra.

Many elected and political leaders, along with industry leaders from the Gulf, are attending the January 2 events. Minister of Commerce and Industry P. Rajiv, Minister of Public Works and Tourism P. A. Mohammed Riyas, and Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan are expected to attend. 
Besides, CPI(M) General Secretary and former education minister M. A. Baby, former home minister Ramesh Chennithala, former minister of industries and municipality P.K. Kunhalikutty, Jose K. Mani MP, former minister of industries and sports E. P. Jayarajan and Kerala BJP President and former Central Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar are attending the event.
