Arjun Tendulkar-Saaniya Chandhok to tie the knot in March, wedding date revealed

RECENTLY transferred from the Mumbai Indians to the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Arjun is about to make significant progress in his personal life.

Arjun, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to tie the knot with fiancée Saaniya Chandhok in March. The development was reported by The Times of India, which claimed that the wedding date would be held on March 5.

Citing a source close to the development, it added that the wedding festivities will begin from March 3, mostly in Mumbai. It will be a close-knit affair attended by family, close friends, and a few members of the cricket community.

Saaniya is an entrepreneur and the granddaughter of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. She is said to have been a close member of Tendulkar's inner circle for a considerable amount of time.

The couple had a private engagement ceremony in August last year that was only attended by their closest family members. Only when Tendulkar himself verified the information during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session did it become widely known. The "Master Blaster" said, "Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life," in response to a fan's question about if Arjun had actually gotten engaged.

Meanwhile, Arjun has discontinued his association with Mumbai and plays for Goa in the domestic circuit, where he is a crucial bowling all-rounder. In 2022, he made an incredible Ranji Trophy debut for Goa by making a century, famously matching his father's achievement of reaching three figures in his first-class encounter. He is a tall left-arm fast bowler and a strong lower-order batsman.

During his time with the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, he showed signs of talent despite the burden that comes with having a legendary surname. Arjun will be in the spotlight once more next season, when he dons the LSG uniform.
