Left loyalist Reji Lukose joins BJP
LEFT loyalist Reji Lukose has joined the BJP. He took party membership from BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Reji Lukose was known for representing the Left in television channel debates. After joining the BJP, he said that diluted ideologies no longer have any relevance.
"The development vision and ideas propagated by the BJP’s national leadership have been influencing me for quite some time.
"While travelling in North India, the development there has shocked me. I am not saying there is no development in Kerala.
"It is often said that the BJP is communal, but unfortunately, what my party has been doing over the past few months is attempts at communal polarisation. That saddened me.
"I want to do something for Kerala. The development ideas of the BJP state president have also influenced me. I was a CPM member; I have ended that. For quite some time now, the BJP’s ideology has been within me. The BJP will come to power in Kerala,” Reji Lukose said after taking BJP membership.
