Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other important guests will be attending the World Cup finals in the world’s biggest stadium named after Modi, Narendra Modi Stadium.

Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles will represent Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the match. Marles is visiting India to participate in the India-Australia 2+2 Dialogue.

Modi last visited a cricket match in February this year, during the Border Gavaskar Trophy tournament. It was the fourth match of the series, which was also held in Ahmedabad. He attended the game with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese.

According to the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office, the state police have a plan in place for the big day. According to the plan, Modi will arrive on Sunday noon to watch the final and is likely to stay overnight at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.
