Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge Honey M Varghese transferred to Alappuzha

ERNAKULAM Principal Sessions Judge Honey M Varghese, who delivered the verdict in the actress attack case, has been transferred to the Alappuzha District Court.

The current Alappuzha District Court judge, KK Balakrishnan, was transferred to Ernakulam.

Four other judges have also been transferred. The transfer is part of the process and nothing controversial.

Following the verdict in the actress attack case, several allegations were levelled against Honey M Varghese.

The judge was criticised for not ordering a proper investigation into the misuse of the memory card.

The prosecution's demand to remove the judge from the actress attack case was not accepted.
