Trump says Iran deal ‘largely negotiated’; Pakistan says talks soon

US President Donald Trump says on social media that “an agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalisation” between the US, Iran and regional powers, adding that the details of the deal, which includes reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, will be announced shortly.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the next round of talks between the US and Iran will happen “very soon”.
Pakistan says it has held “highly productive talks” with Iranian leaders in Tehran, resulting in “encouraging progress towards a final understanding” between the US and Iran.
Tehran is focusing negotiations on ending the war “on all fronts, including Lebanon,” and refuses to discuss its nuclear programme, the Iranian Foreign Ministry says.
Israel continues to launch air strikes on southern Lebanon after killing at least 3,123 people since March 2, despite an ongoing ceasefire and peace negotiations.
