Kerala to launch year-long Green Awareness Drive

KERALA is launching a year-long environmental conservation campaign focused on climate change awareness and protecting its fragile ecosystem, according to Tourism Minister P.C. Vishnunadh.

The initiative involves students, youth, and tourism clubs, aiming to preserve the state's natural beauty, which is crucial for its tourism sector.

Initiated on World Environment Day 2026 under the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future".

The campaign emphasizes combating climate change, preserving local biodiversity, and fostering sustainable tourism.

The initiative engages schools, youth groups, and tourism clubs in active environmental conservation.

This initiative complements other efforts, such as the Kerala State Biodiversity Board focusing on local species and the state's pioneering ESG investment policy.

This move reinforces Kerala's commitment to sustainable development and environmental responsibility.
