The look counts

The look counts

WHILE getting seated for refreshment in a hotel I said to my wife: "This is the fourth time. You may place the order this time."

The wife placing the order said to the supplier: "Two tea. One without sugar."

After some time the supplier came with the tea. As usual, he placed the tea without sugar before me.

"All the people conclude for themselves that it is not you but me who is a diabetic," I said to my wife.

"Is it my fault that you look like a diabetic patient?" Wife asked.

The next time we visited a hotel while placing the order it was explained that it was me who needed tea with sugar and my wife needed a sugarless tea. Even then the supplier got it wrong while serving the tea.

Today I went to a tea shop and asked for a cup of tea.

“There is no tea without sugar, Sir," the tea shopkeeper said.

"I need tea with sugar," I said firmly.

While giving me the tea with sugar he looked at me as if he was asking me: "Are you not taking the tea with sugar without the knowledge of your wife?"

Finally, one thing was clear to me.
'It is the look that counts.'
