Yes Bank to expand its presence in Kerala with new branches

Yes Bank has announced its strategic expansion in Kerala with four new branches planned in FY26 across Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.

The bank currently operates 22 branches and 22 ATMs in the State, serving over 2.6 lakh customers, including 1 lakh in Kochi alone.

Kerala today contributes 2.1 per cent of the bank’s overall deposit portfolio, and the state’s retail liabilities account for nearly 73 per cent of total deposits, underscoring the strong role played by retail customers.

Deposits from individuals have grown by an impressive 170 per cent between June 2022 and June 2025, highlighting the increasing trust and preference for the bank’s solutions, said Dheeraj Sanghi, Country Head - Retail Liabilities, Fee and Business Banking, Yes Bank.

NRI population

Recognising the importance of Kerala’s large NRI population, the bank has enhanced its suite of services with zero forex markup on USD inward remittances, zero cross-currency markup on international debit card transactions, attractive interest rates on NRE/NRO fixed deposits and FCNR deposits, and dedicated relationship managers for end-to-end assistance.

To complement this, the bank leverages its UAE Representative Office to facilitate seamless onboarding and continuous support for NRI customers while they are overseas, ensuring convenience and confidence in cross-border transactions.

The bank is also strengthening its engagement with Kerala’s exporter community, conducting programmes in partnership with associations in Kochi to offer solutions in trade finance, forex, and MSME lending.

As of June 2025, the bank’s Kerala portfolio stood at ₹6,791 crore in assets and ₹5,673 crore in liabilities. To build further on this base, the bank will add two branches in Kochi and one each in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram during FY26.
