Kerala Center invites nominations for prestigious annual awards 2026
THE Indian American Kerala Cultural and Civic Center, Inc. (Kerala Center), a premier organization representing the Keralite community in the New York metropolitan area, has announced the opening of nominations for the Kerala Center Annual Awards 2026, which recognize outstanding individuals of Keralite origin for their professional excellence and exemplary service to society.
Nominations are invited in a broad spectrum of fields, including Public and Community Service, Political Leadership, Arts and Literature, Journalism, Social Media and Digital Media, Medicine and Healthcare, Nursing, Business and Corporate Leadership, Applied Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, and other professional disciplines.
The recipients will be honored at the Kerala Center Annual Awards Dinner to be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Kerala Center Auditorium in Elmont, New York.
Each nomination must be accompanied by a detailed résumé or curriculum vitae, a summary highlighting the nominee's achievements and contributions, and supporting documents such as awards, recognitions, publications, or other evidence of accomplishment.
The deadline for submitting nominations is August 7, 2026. Nominations may be mailed to the Kerala Center Awards Committee, Indian American Kerala Cultural and Civic Center, Inc., 1824 Fairfax Street, Elmont, NY 11003, or emailed to [email protected].
Founded in 1993, the Kerala Center is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving the Keralite and wider Indian American communities. Over the past three decades, it has honored more than 185 distinguished personalities of Keralite origin whose achievements have left a lasting impact on their professions and society.
Kerala Center President Alex K. Esthappan and General Secretary Raju Thomas urged community members to nominate deserving individuals whose accomplishments exemplify the talent, leadership, and rich heritage of the global Malayali community.
