Malayalm actress R Subbalakshmi dies at 87

POPULAR Malayalam actress and musician R Subbalakshmi who is known for her grandmother's roles in Malayalam movies passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. She was 87, reports Malayala Manorama.

Subbalaskhmi is the mother of noted actress and dancer Thara Kalyan.

The actress rose to fame with her role in 'Kalyanaraman'. She has also acted in Tamil movies, including Vijay starrer ' Beast'.
