Israeli forces bomb Gaza from north to south

Al Jazeera update:

THE Israeli army has intensified its bombardment of Gaza, hitting areas from Jabalia in the north to Khan Younis in the south.

Israeli forces detain dozens of Palestinian men from UN-run schools in northern Gaza, stripping them down to their underwear and taking them away.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society says its ambulance services in northern Gaza have come to a standstill.

At least 17,177 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7. In Israel, the official death toll stands at about 1,150.

The attacks across the territory have continued since the early hours of this morning when the occupation forces expanded their military operations on the ground alongside the air strikes hitting every single area across the Gaza Strip.

The attacks on the north of the territory continued, where several residential buildings were flattened and dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured amid growing concerns that the ground military operation will expand into the south of the Gaza Strip.

Now, in the south of the territory, the attacks on Khan Younis city continued, where multiple residential buildings and units have been flattened.

The occupation is trying to destroy all residential buildings in the eastern areas of Khan Younis and gain significant control over the main central areas of Khan Younis city, which is considered to be, from the Israeli perspective, a main central area for Hamas operations.
