French police arrest 135 people, as tens of thousands protest across country
BBC update
FRANCE'S interior minister says that 135 people have been arrested as tens of thousands join protests across the country.
Police in Paris earlier seized weapons and gas masks in a crackdown; in a social media post, they say "all is calm" in the city.
Today's marches follow last weekend's riots and looting that impacted thousands of businesses and saw more than 2,700 arrested.
Curfews, closures and protest bans are in place in cities including Paris, Marseille and Lyon - although some demonstrations are being allowed.
One protester in Paris tells the BBC: "We're now protesting for our right to protest".
