Coveted Nigerian awards for Malayalee couple

MALAYALEE couple Mathia Jacob and Annamma Sicily Jacob were awarded this year’s prestigious Peace Ambassadors of Nigeria (PAN) award at a function held at the National Merit Award House Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday, October 7.

According to the PAN Convenor, “The award is an annual event that brings together humanitarian peace ambassadors around Nigeria and the world at large as stakeholders in the peace project and building partnerships for peace.

“The occasion doesn’t just honour individuals who made a significant contribution to the peace and well-being of thousands of people in their communities and around the globe.

“The chance to meet and seek other options from like-minded people, and exchange knowledge with one another is also fantastic.

“It is also an ideal occasion to commemorate a year of fruitful service and to refocus our efforts on the year ahead.

“In this second edition, we are honouring individuals who stand out”.
