Vlogger Junaid dies in road accident
Malayali vlogger Junaid, popular for his dance reels, died in a road accident on Friday, March 14. The 32-year-old native of Malappuram’s Vazhikakadavu was out on bail after being arrested for raping a woman under the pretext of marriage. According to reports, the accident occurred at around 6.30 in the evening while Junaid was en route to Vazhikadavu from Manjeri. His bike overturned after crashing into an earthen mound on the roadside, causing severe injuries to his head. Though passersby took him to the Manjeri Medical College Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.Junaid was a popular social media performer who was also well-trolled for his slow-paced dance steps that enacted the lyrics of songs. Apart from dance, he also recreated scenes from popular films with hit dialogues on his reels. His Instagram handle has over 50,000 followers.On March 1, Junaid was arrested by the Kerala police for allegedly raping a woman he met through social media. According to reports, he raped her under the pretext of marriage. He was out on bail when the accident occurred. Currently, his mortal remains are kept at the Manjeri Medical College mortuary. The body will be handed over to relatives after postmortem.
