Revanth Reddy takes oath as Telangana Chief Minister, Bhatti Vikramarka his deputy

ANUMULA Revanth Reddy on Thursday took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana, following the party's victory in the recently concluded assembly elections.

Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

The 10 leaders who took oath as ministers were Damodar Raja Narasimha, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Konda Surekhaa, Jupally and Krishna Ponguleti.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the sprawling LB Stadium in Hyderabad.

Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar were among those who attended the swearing-in ceremony.

As per the strength of the Assembly, Telangana can have 18 ministers, including the Chief Minister.

The Congress snatched power from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana, where the BJP's vote share and tally rose.
