UAE, Kuwait, Saudi announce holidays for Eid al Fitr

THE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced holidays for private sector employees in the UAE for Eid al Fitr 2025.
According to an announcement from the ministry, Sunday, 30 March, to Tuesday, 1 April, will be a paid holiday for all private sector employees across the country on the occasion of Eid al Fitr.
If the month of Ramadan concludes on the 30th day, the holiday will be extended to Wednesday, 2 April 2025, the ministry announced through its official X handle.
Earlier, UAE had declared holidays for public sector employees for Eid al Fitr 2025.
According to the circular from the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), holidays for federal government employees will be from 1st to 3rd Shawwal 1446 AH, with official work resuming on 4th Shawwal.
In the event that the Holy Month of Ramadan concludes with 30 days, the 30th of Ramadan shall be observed as an additional public holiday, thereby extending the Eid al Fitr break.
Kuwait
If the first day of Eid Al Fitr is March 30, then work at all Kuwaiti ministries, governmental bodies, and public institutions will be suspended for three days, with work resuming on April 2.
However, if the first day of Eid is on March 31, then work will be suspended from March 30, with all offices resuming on April 6, giving employees a 9-day break, combining the two weekends (Friday and Saturday).
State agencies with special nature will determine their holidays, while taking into consideration the public interest, according to Kuwait's official news agency.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has announced a four-day Eid al Fitr holiday for the private and non-profit sectors, according to Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The holiday will begin on March 30, and continue till April 2, with work resuming on April 3. Combined with the Friday-Saturday weekend, this would give private sector employees a 6-day break.
