Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital director arrested

ISRAELI forces arrested Mohammad Abu Salmiya, director of al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in the besieged enclave.

Earlier, an Israeli official said no Gaza captives would be released before Friday as part of a Qatar-mediated truce agreement.

Families of Israeli captives expressed frustration and blamed the government for lack of information as the wait for the truce continued.

Israel continued deadly air attacks and heavy shelling across the Palestinian enclave and occupied West Bank.

More than 14,500 people have been killed in Gaza since October 7. In Israel, the official death toll from Hamas’s attacks stands at about 1,200.
