Israel kills 22 across Gaza in one day as death toll surpasses 46,000

Amnesty International condemns the US House of Representatives for voting to impose sanctions on International Criminal Court officials over issuing war crimes arrest warrants for Israeli leaders.

Israeli forces killed an estimated 490 Palestinians in the first nine days of 2025, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reports from the war-torn enclave where people face a daily “battle for survival”.

A spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority’s security forces says 247 resistance fighters, which he branded “outlaws”, have been arrested in the occupied West Bank’s Jenin refugee camp.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 46,006 Palestinians and wounded 109,378 since October 7, 2023.

At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 taken captive.
