Bengaluru man kills wife, daughter and niece with machete

A HORRIFYING incident has come to light from Bengaluru's Peenya area where a man killed his wife, his 19-year-old daughter and his sister-in-law's 23-year-old daughter. The incident occurred in the evening at around 5.15 pm on January 8.

The man, Ganaraju, worked as a home guard at the Hebbagodi police station in Bengaluru Urban District. After killing and confirming that the three women were dead, he called the police control room and said that he wanted to surrender, a report by Times of India stated. It added that after his call, the police rushed to his apartment where they found the bodies of the three women.

In his confession to the police, Ganaraju suspected of his wife Bhagya of having an affair. He added, “In a fit of rage, I attacked her with the machete. The two girls tried to stop me and cursed me, saying I was the one at fault," as quoted by TOI

He also added, "Whenever I question Bhagya over her affair, the two girls would support her. I couldn't tolerate this anymore and attacked them with the same machete,” as quoted by the daily.

Bengaluru techie, wife poison their 2 kids

In a suspected murder-suicide pact, a techie and his wife allegedly killed their two children before committing suicide at their rented residence in RMV 2nd Stage, Bengaluru, within the limits of Sadashivanagar Police Station, Karnataka. The incident likely happened on Sunday night and their bodies were found on Monday morning.

A 32-year-old man allegedly killed his younger brother after an argument over ₹500 in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said, as reported by PTI. The incident took place on Tuesday night in Kalyan area, they said, adding the accused has been arrested.

The accused, Salim Shamim Khan, who was inebriated, got enraged when his brother Naseem Khan (27) confronted him for taking ₹500 from his pocket without permission, an official from Bazarpeth police station said on Wednesday.
